Go ahead and update XP to Service Pace 3 and where did you get the video drivers from? If off a supplied CD go to AMD/ATI's support website and download the latest XP Catalyst and video driver from there

2 questions, what drivers are you using, and how long have you had your monitor?

Ignore the fools who say forget about installing Service Pack 3 on any XP machine. If you encounter any problems after installing Service Pack 3, it could mean that your computer needs serious servicing because of hardware problems or malware infections

Late post.
You need to up the AGP voltage to 1.9v in the BIOS or it will freeze and crash. I had to do it too, it's a horrible generic graphics card. My advice, next time don't skimp on a video card. I'm sure not going to.
