Inspiron screen goes black
Hi i hope someone can help.
Laptop -Dell Inspiron 1100 Screen appears black although view can be seen as a shadow - back light not coming on. Ive lifted keyboard to check cabling and found that if I unplug it and connect again it lights up but if I close the lid down and then open it goes off again. The only way to get screen illuminated again is to unplug cable and connect again. Any ideas if this can be fixed? |

I read somewhere recently that you can use a type of glue to hold a firm connection. I will see if I can find the site
Edit here it is the glue is mentioned towards the bottom of the page |
