Yeah thanks, I ended up taking the video card out and now I'm running on onboard graphics. Now I can play a game for about 20 minutes but instead of a blue screen the screen just goes black and the computer restarts. I'm thinking I might also need a new power supply or my motherboard is bugging out.

Thanks

What is the make, model, and the amount of watts it claims to supply?

Oh god... I think I bought it for like 20$ separately but I can't be sure for sure. It was just a cheap little thing.

I was able to do a search on what you gave me and it is a Dynapower. They have poor quality and I highly doubt it is providing your system what it needs. Just because a psu claims a certain amount of so and so doesn't mean it is.

Give us your system specs especially your video card and a budget to work with an we should be able to find you a good psu at a good price.

Ugh! Sorry to hear about your video card. Those 8600 though old were decent enough but you can do better. By the way, good system. You really do need a solid dependable power supply for that excellent harware of yours.

Do you have a budget?

I have a tiny budget, maybe 150-200$ for both a video card and a psu. I definently don't need the best, just something to get the job done

You should be able to fit your needs with $200 easily. Are you a gamer?

Here is one example of a new video card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130435

A solid PSU of 550 to 600w should more than suffice.

I'm a very very casual gamer but I think I'll go with that 9800 and this power supply : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817162023

I tried running the game off of my mainboard graphics card and it managed to run, but I'm still getting the crash, although most of the time the screen goes black and says "out of range" or the screen freezes with black and white pixels. I've only gotten one bluescreen since I've been running on mainboard graphics and it was a ntfs.sys system error. I'm pretty much just making sure I've diagnosed the right problem and it's not something like my motherboard or my hard drive.

Thanks
