No picture preview

Hello,
I have an issue with a customers system, when you click on pictures normally it shows a preview in the left pane in the window. However the pictures no longer show up. There's also an issue to were pictures wont open in his photo editing software that came with his olympus digital camera, you open the picture, and its just blank. The only way to view the pictures is to open them in IE . Any ideas?

Check the file-association for .jpg
It may point to a non-existing program.

In windows 98, you need quickview installed for the preview functionality.. I forget where that is, think it's in the windows components.

Also, run a reg cleaner, as Realblackstuff says there may be some file associations and pointers that are aimed at wrong places.

I'd recommend reinstalling the photo-ed software, as well.
