Dear Friends

I purchased New Dell Optiplex 760.
Core 2 Duo E8400
4GB RAM (2X2 800MHz Non ECC)
250GB SATA HDD

This new Desktop was working normal for few days. Then
suddenly this problem started.

Booting is normal. 15 mins after Login, I am getting this BSOD ntfs.sys.
then system reboots itself. I did Memtest. everything was normal.
I am attaching minidump files.

Since it is a new computer, have you talked to the Dell tech support people?
Usually, the BSOD errors are tied to memory failures, cooling sytem failures, and such, but it may have had something jar loose in shipment.
We have seen this problems on Dell computers when one of the plastic supports that hold the CPU fan assembly is broken during shipment from assumed lateral impact while still in the box.
Does your system allow you the option of getting the mini dump in a text files instead of a zip?

Actually I have dual boot system.
Desktop working well in Fedora 11. There is no issue at all.

So I don;t think that cooling or improper handling are issues.

I think that third party software may be causing this problem.
I have uninstalled all the new software and also I have updated BIOS.

So I am waiting for effect of this new try.

Actually mini dump files are more thank 200kb which cannot be
upload here.
I can download and extract files. Did u face any problem in downloading?

Are you running a Torrents program? Also, large files such as you metion can be Zipped because it compresses them enough to be attached. You can do up to a total of five per Zip.

raybay, all errors are 0x50 and though they cite ntfs.sys as the probable cause uTorrents.exe was listed in all the dumps in the Process_Name section. I'm not sure if this is relevant as you help him.

Thanks for this observation.
I have removed all the third party software (including utorrent)
after 2 hours, I didnot get the BSOD. (Initially I was getting this after 15mins)
so as you pointed out utorrent may be the cause for BSOD.

I will check for 24hrs. if BSOD doesnot appear then
I can safe conclude that utorrent was causing this problem.

Do you have any idea why utorrent was causing the problem?

MicroTorrent (uTorrent) and other filesharing software literally open a hole through your firewall, so that whatever nasties are running on the computers of those with whom you are sharing files also have access to yours. In short, filesharing is one of the most common ways of becoming infected.

Be diligent to follow the steps exactly.
If you find infections during the eight steps, post your logs in a new thread there,
and hopefully one of the malware helpers will be able to help you get cleaned up.
