Hey there,

I see that there are other threads covering this topic, and I have gone through them all, but my situation is a little different...

I ran the 8 step process and attached the logs, however I still have the issue of google redirects (using IE8).

Also, when trying to change startup items via msconfig, it says I do not have administrator access, even though I am an administrator.

Also, and I don't know if this is related but It started happening around the same time, my Mozilla Firefox (my normal browser) crashes on startup, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no avail.

I have scanned and cleaned as much as possible, any clues? Thanks!

• Select [Do a system scan only],
• Close Internet exporer and all other apps,
• Put a hook in front of each following lines,
• And press [Fix Checked].

Access : Add/Remove programs from Control manager

You can have only one antivirus, else it will generate system problem.
Uninstall Norton or AVG

If you chose to uninstall :

You will increase the performance of your PC.

Update Java..
• Use Update Checker regulary(at 2 weeks) for check that kind of updates.
