First of all, sorry for my encglish, i am not a native speaker.
My laptop is barely a year old. It is a HP pavilion dv 2000, with windows vista home premium. I have not problems until one week ago, when it suddenly begin to shut off. I solve this problem working on economical energy plan.
Then about 2 weeks ago it begin the BOSD, of 2 types: Driver_irql_not_less_or_equal, and "PFN list corrupt"
After contacting with HP, I formatted the laptop, but today I begin again to have blue screens.

0x8E errors are almost always caused by hardware and are particularly a strong indicator of corrupted memory (bad RAM).

The error 0x0000004E: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT
This indicates that the memory management Page File Number list is corrupted. Can be caused by corrupt physical RAM, or by drivers passing bad memory descriptor lists.

This a very strong indicator of corrupted memory.

* Contact HP and tell them of r issues and that your information was read indicating your RAM has gone bad. Give them the error codes 0x8E and 0x4E.

*** They should replace your memory free of charge.
