Can I play GTA IV high/max res?

Hi everybody im new to the techspot forums; so far so good lol

i want to know if i can play gta iv on max settings (or near max) on my current pc specs

any recommendation is appreciated =D

Specs:
Core2Quad Q8200 @ 2.33 Ghz (no OC)
8gb ram ddr3
ati radeon hd 4650
1TB HDD
Vista 64-bit sp1

No, but then again that would depend on what resolution you're running on, hopefully you mean like a 17inch monitor or something.

im on a 22" LG flatron and im planning on running it on max res i.e.: 1680x1050

No, you definately cannot run at max resolution with that card. You need something like a 4770 or a gtx250. That cpu isnt that fast either, with a small amount of L2cache on it as well.

medium...... i would just buy a hd 4850, they are only like 120 bucks right now.

a 4850 can outperform a gts 250. for about the same price

Don't play GTA 4 on pc. Go buy a console. GTA 4 on pc is just a headache.

Its really not as bad as it was since they patched it up.

Still need a "high end" setup though... But when its running next to my brothers xbox 360 version there is a huge gulf between them. In favor of the pc by far.
