I have no shame...I applied. As lame as it is, I want Ultimate for free. You get free stuff to give those who attend too, and all my friends love free stuff. So, five minutes of showing off the new UI, then hook up my projector (with the new method of course) then watch movies the rest of the night?

Free windows 7, 9 friends, boot up 7, let 'em see the desktop, then load up street fighter IV for the rest of the night, how can you not go for some of that?

At my place there are three rules for bonfires:
1) Flames under 4' tall will NOT be tolerated.
2) Burning down the neighbour's house will be frowned upon.
3) Burning don my home will be severly frowned upon.

That said, I wonder how many buggy first issue copies of Windows 7 we could burn before we contaminate my ground water?

Hey pyro-dude, I hear the packaging is all made out of corn plastic so you could burn quite a few before you'd have the EPA on your back. That said, you might want to keep your trigger-finger off your Zippo on this one because the OS is actually quite stable and sports a level of functionality / quality that i hadn't thought MS was capable of til now... you oughta go try some beta bits for a while and then pass judgement...

I signed up and can't wait to find out if I get to host.I really like W7 RC! I moved into it easily and started working without having to look around like I have never used a computer before. I LOVE the new taskbar. Everyone I'll shown the RC to have been very impressed as well.

I am more worried about the hangover later....
