CS:S lagging on an overpowered systems

I recently bought this laptop and have installed all my games and am very happy, other than with counterstrike source. the video stress test comes back at 198.26 fps at 1920x1200, 8x MSAA, 16x filtering blah blah blah, all settings maxed. in game how ever, player movement is very choppy every though the image its self is smooth. i have tried changing the affinity, as well as lower graphic settings only to have the same result. Any ideas?

You didn't say anything about your graphics drivers. Have you tried different drivers?
