ive connected the s/pdif to gpu and mobo to enable sound through gpu, im using a dvi to hdmi adapter connected to my samsung hdtv hdmi port, i get display fine except no sound, in control panel theres no option to set hdmi as output for sound, only option is rear output how can i fix this and get sound through the hdtv?

one more thing is that this spdif cable has 3 connectors, 1 black for gpu 1 black for mobo and 2 pin white connector which i got no idea whats its for as gpu booklet says to connect it the way i said with no mention of this 2 pin white connector.

As far as I know DVI doesn't transfer sound.... you'll need a separate connection for the sound.
