My comp running XP64 has had no problems until this morning when I logged in as admin as usual and I noticed generic xp desktop background, outlook contained one "Welcome to Outlook" message in the inbox", and everything else appeared as though this comp had just come out of the box. I was able to locate a user profile that looks like it should be my original one, but I have no idea how to switch to it/restore it.
Also, system restore cannot restore from any point I choose.
Any help very much appreciated.
