StackHash crashes

I'm getting a StackHash_xxxx error for a number of applications, from games and other programs and I've noticed they are all related to StackHash. It is only on a few games/programs, but it's enough to be bothersome and I can never seem to get the program to work. I've tried reinstalling, restarting, various spyware/virus scans and have found nothing that seems to be leading me in the right direction. Here is the error I get when trying to run a Steam game:

Problem signature:

I get it for any Steam game that I try to run (I've tried reinstalling) as well as a couple of other programs.

Here are my computer specs as well:

i7 920
EVGA X58
4gb G.Skill
GTX 260

Thanks for any help offered!

Edit: I forgot to say that I am running Windows 7 x64. Sorry about that!
