StackHash crashes
I'm getting a StackHash_xxxx error for a number of applications, from games and other programs and I've noticed they are all related to StackHash. It is only on a few games/programs, but it's enough to be bothersome and I can never seem to get the program to work. I've tried reinstalling, restarting, various spyware/virus scans and have found nothing that seems to be leading me in the right direction. Here is the error I get when trying to run a Steam game:
Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: swarm.exe Application Version: 0.0.0.0 Application Timestamp: 4bf749e2 Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e Fault Module Version: 0.0.0.0 Fault Module Timestamp: 00000000 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00000008 OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 I get it for any Steam game that I try to run (I've tried reinstalling) as well as a couple of other programs. Here are my computer specs as well: i7 920 EVGA X58 4gb G.Skill GTX 260 Thanks for any help offered! Edit: I forgot to say that I am running Windows 7 x64. Sorry about that!
