RBS, you don't know what you're missing, not sure if you have a family, the island is a good place for a family holiday, but the children have to be young, as soon as they get to early teens, it can get boring for them after a few days. I was born in Portsmouth, a few miles away, across the Solent, I've no relatives in the south, & my cousin lives in Northampton, so I won't be moving back to the mainland, I shall live out the rest of my days here, there are a lot of worse places to live, hardly any violence, a few druggies, LOTS of glorious countryside to enjoy.
Do you live in the suburbs of Dublin, ?

Don't let them wind you up, the Yanks are at it now!

Don't worry, MYOB, I'm NOT a footie fan, & even if I was, I wouldn't support Pompey, over many years they'e been very inconsistent, going right up through the leagues, only to come crashing down the next season. Their hayday was many years ago, my father went to Wembley, just before the war to see them win the F.A. Cup.

What the+++++++ is BHA...oh, just got it, Brighton, very local to me.

Trying to wind me up now, huh, got fed-up of NI man?

I guess majority of those Ad-Aware detections are cookies. Personally, I've set Firefox to ask for each cookie whether or not to accept it (and to remember the answer for the site in the future). So I have about 30 sites that are allowed to set cookies - most of them are stores that require them to work, and some hundreds of ad-sites etc. that are not allowed to set them.

Sometimes, though, I get so many questions if I want to allow this and this cookie that I just disable them completely. I've still been able to surf around.

You great twit, MYOB, you know very well that NI in this case stands for that glorious part of the Emerald Isle, north of your border, NOW who's winding who up? keep it up though, these forums can be too serious, & a little light [?] humour, helps to forget crashes, viruses & all the other PC problems for a while, & have a good chuckle!
Mict, as you see we're in a funny mood at the moment, excuse us, it's the battle of The BOYNE [OR SOMETHING] I'm like you, I don't do all that faffing about, I just keep running Ad Aware, & deleting all thecookies/trackers etc. on a daily basis, did you see the quantities that I delete, on my previous post ?

Maurice,
Dont be paying someone 40 odd quid to reload your os, it sounds like it may be cluttered with crap - Tailored Systems offer free reloads to all customers who buy PC's from us, also free advise and help when ever you need it, we may be as busy as hell sometimes when you call but we will help you mate, you dont need to be paying someone else for support on one of our machines Maurice.

Best,

Glen @ TS...

Glen, never expected to see YOU join TS!!....did I influence that decision in anyway, with my wittering on about what a good site it was?
Anyway, I see where you're coming from, thanks, you know I value your advice, but I still don't think that you realise that due to coming into computing at a late age, I am over cautious, & need a lot of convincing, before I try anything, & no, it's not cluttered with "crap" as you put it, so I'm not contemplating a re-load, as you kindly offered in your shop, I run Ad Aware daily, also AVG, [free version] & am installing AVG 7.0 Professional soon, from disc.
This morning, I thought that I was goig to have to bring it in, as, when I tried to boot-up, it cut out after a couple of seconds, but I think it was a loose connection, because after I checked that everything was tight, it was OK, will check again later today.

Well, Glen, welcome to TS, as you see, it's a great site,...have a look at the gallery, some weird & wonderful rigs there!

See you around, Maurice.
