Wow! That's great man! I had never heard of this wonderful thing before! I will try it right away and post my experiences with this new technology and perhaps start a campaign to convince other people to use this completely unknown and new dimension in computing..

Is this a real post or just spam? I'm honestly not sure.

Seems pretty lame if it is spam, and not very good if it is legit.

And that is the wonderful thing about thunder, the lightning part I mean. It gets rid off many beautiful things. Fast.

Firefox problems

I installed Firefox 2 weeks ago. By and large OK, but 2 nagging problems:

1) While signing into Hotmail, even if I check the box that says 'Do not remember my e-mail address...", the next time my email address appears in the field.

2) When accessing my company intranet with Firefox, none of the 'buttons' or their secondary buttons work (Sorry, I don't know the correct terminology, but basically the site has buttons like Phone Directory. When you click on it, three additional buttons should slide out, saying UK directory, US directory, HK directory.) It works fine in Internet Exploder, but the buttons/links just don't show up or work with Firefox.

Can anyone help please? Thanks

Avin

1: you have remembering form contents turned on in FireFox. Turn it off.
2: The designers of the intranet page have very limited brain capacity and have made the page usable only in IE.

None of these is Firefox's fault.

Nodsu, thanks for the post. I had already turned 'remember forms' off (under Tools, Options, Privacy, Saved Form Information) - but this didn't help. Any other ideas?

Maybe clear the already saved forms content and also clear any cookies.

I have been using FireFox for about 2 months now. Im really glad that I did. When I was using IE I just kept getting pop-ups and spyware. Whenever I would run Spybot or Adwear It would find like 36 things everyday.

2 weeks into running Firefox I ran Ad-wear. It found NOTHING! And im glad. I recommended Firefox to many people, and they are happy. Im glad I did my part. :bounce:

I only have one problem with Firefox. It seems slow compared to IE. Other than that, I love it.

Wow that's strange I have always thought it was much quicker because it isn't a bloated as IE. Maybe try defragging and clearing out some temp files.

It's just another IE frontend and features all the security holes of it.

I don't understand..... I've never had a problem with IE on MY MACHINE. What are these holes you people talk about? Update your windows/IE, read Microsoft.com's security bulletins, quit going to porn sites, quit clicking on random links and stop following spam email links. I've used both browsers and could personally care less about firefox. It's like all you guys are on a band wagon or something, raging against some machine that quite honestly is as functional as firefox. It is true that IE has holes in it's security but so does Firefox. This reminds me of those guys who sit around and talk about how good Unix is and how they hacked the girls locker room with it. Just my 2 quarters, let the flameing begin.
