Hehe - I know what you mean Acid. When I start feeling like that I try not to reply to threads at all. I've been in tech support (I'm a computer engineer now) and I still do a little bit of support for the big wigs around here if they talk to the right people so my patience has been tested as well. Let's just try to maintain the peace around here as much as we can.

And in the book of Job it says...

Flame war begat
Flame war begat
Flame war begat
Moderator begat
Flame war begat...

What were we talking about originally?

Seriously. I am here to say that PC gaming does not suck, it is alive and well. Consoles are becoming far more PC-like to make up for their lack of versatility. (i.e. keyboards for ps2, internet gaming, voice chat, team based games online, RTS for console)

I love pc gaming, and it does not suck.

LONG LIVE THE PC!

I prefer PC gaming because I like 1280x1024 progressive scan over TV interlaced display, don't want to give up my mouse control, really like to DL a demo before I go and spend $50 for a game ( I guess nowadays that can be countered with the ability to go to Blockbuster and renting the game first), game patching and add-ons and probably other reasons I haven't thought of at the moment. Besides, I already have 4 computers, so I don't need to buy a bunch of game boxes to play lan games with the family.

Nexx,Like everyone else is saying, your system is fine. You just got to know whats a good config for what you got.Video cards a little out of date but everything else is far from dated yet..I myself HATE consoles, they are basicly made for people who dont know PCs or operating systems. But I dont go around bashing them and I UNDERSTAND both.I hope you do get your problem solved but its not the pc its a "Pilot"error.
