Please tell us how because of this works for all then we can stop shorting the EEPROM at last !!!!!!!,

I also tried the bit about clearing the admin password and yes that works as well,
I set the primary password as "Password" and set the admin as "password" I then rebooted the Laptop, I entered the password as 4y07ytia and pressed CTRL and Enter at first it seemed that nothing was happening but then I got access to the BIOS and ...

The passwords were all cleared.......

However I didn't get a success with the HD but I figure that must be a differrent password.....

Please dont keep this to your self , it is very important to all that read this thread, Please run a website with the software or method as I did, I can close my site down then and step away from this thread, after nearly 5 months it would be a welcome break, and Paragon can finally retire and put his screwdrivers away

I tried this and it doesn't work for my laptop. I guess this's just applied for a couple service tags. What do you think? Did you try some different laptops?

I have a possibility to get a master passwords and I can control this. Just for fun for me to write such utility but I dont want make it free, because every thief or joker may open your notebook and view all your secrets.
Can you get the HDD password for all kind of hard drives (IBM, Hitachi, ...)?

The poster supplied a password based on MY service tag as given in an earlier thread, the password will vary (same as those using the MPGenerator for D35B service tags) for each SERVICE TAG.

If you contact the poster with your tag and try it on your locked laptop, please post your results here.

I dont have any control of this but if it works, then I for one will be glad.

Why not just post your HD request tag here and the poster may give the code, as I said in my lastpost, we could do with a few of us testing this on both laptops and harddrives.

But the service always must be paid, let it be stories' payment .
Each owner of passworded notebook should share the brief story about himself and the way of getting trouble with this password, no real name, just for impression.
If the story will be good enough (or quite piteous ), I'll give him the master password via the private message, as soon as I'll appear again.
I do not understand your reasoning; the method previously espoused by Ididmyc600 and myself-plus many other folks over the last 3 years-works. It is however difficult for less computer literate folks to accomplish. If your way is as good as you claim, it would be a blessing to them.
The stuff I furnish was not mine to begin with and some of the material was originally given to me by an individual named qasimtoep. His Paper clip Doc is archived and free to anyone who needs it at this site. He also gave me the original version of the DST file for ServiceTag delete/reset, which I have kept updated to the latest version. I do not ask for a person's pedigree, background, history or anything else before sending the files, in the same spirit that qasimtoep exhibited to me. How about a little of that same spirit from you, without making people beg for your help?

Here is my HDD serial number 11 chars followed by -595B:
42W2ZNE9979
So the whole string is #42W2ZNE9979-595B. It's an IBM Travelstar, model DJSA-210. Capacity is 6GB.

Could you please give me its password?

If the password length is 6 or less chars I know how to clear it. But it's not worth for the 6GB HDD capacity.

rustam_, can you give us a hint about your method?

I write for me the same utility like latitude.exe. But I dont want for uncontrolled password removing from every notebook if it may be free.

You write your story before:

These laptops are old and same model (Dell Latitude CPx, J650). But you know we can not access any of them. Three of them got Admin/Primary password, two got HDD password and the other two I can access, but the OS has been gone. I had to re-install OS. But I couldn't change the BOOT order in the CMOS. Luckily, I followed what Paragon said and reset the Configuration Password. So I can boot by CD-ROM . Thank you, Paragon! So far I already finished 2 of 7 laptops.
Here I see 3 laptops with primary password, 2 without password and 2 with HDD password. Additional passworded HDD has been in first 3 laptops?
Give me these strings, which displayed on the screen for passworded laptops, so I can generate the passwords for you. No need me to know an HDD type and so on, only string from # followed by -595B or -D35B.

rustam.

If you don`t want to help someone, then that`s fine. After all this is a completely voluntary site, where members help or don`t as they see fit.

However, it would be better not to reply, rather than to say you didn`t want to help. That way, no one could take any offence.

Regards Howard

I'm off

Dont think for one minute however that I am annoyed in anyway, i'm not, whilst I have been here I have helped a lot of people to get rid of the dreaded grey screen and I feel really good that I could help so many people.

Rustam has a method that doesn't require any software or shorting and can even unlock HDD's.

So the site is now down and RUstam is the Man to speak to for help I have private messaged him and asked that he try to keep up , when you consider paragons site has had over 4100 hits , he is going to be a very busy chap.

As for me, its fishing season and I think I'm going to put the old dell latitude up for sale on Ebay

Good luck to all ... Nice to have met so many nice people.

PS Paragon I will keep in touch via email as you have been a real good friend...

Yeah, you are right. The additional locked HDD is in the first 3 laptops (I know that after I cleared the primary password)
Here are the strings:

#42W2DNE7284-595B
#AF0AF2M8031-595B

Once again, thank you very much for your help.

Hi,

My best friend about one year ago on market bought Dell INSPIRON 4000.
All was ok until one night he tried to change dell bios password. He was drunk. Next day he couldn't access to computer because can't remember password.
I disassemle dell and read cmos 24lc02 but don't know how to decode pasword.
Can you help me to decode password.
Service tag is CN8250J-595B.

Thanks for any help.

Amber

Onpage 46, there is a fellow named rustam who has a Master Password generator for the -595B series Passwords that I do not have. Try him first, and if that does not work out, then contact me at email removed for a different but more complex way that also works.
