Help! How to install an old program to Windows XP

Hi!
I try to install a program called: American Greetings CreataCard Gold 4, but somehow I always get this error message:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT.The system file is not suitable to running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'close' to terminate the application.

I don't really know what it mean. Can anyone help me how to get the program work.
Thank you very much.

Enter AUTOEXEC.NT in the Search-box top-right of this page.
Plenty of posts about your problem.
