My PC keeps crashing DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

My computer keeps crashing ...I'm just humming along with one or two or three aps open and it will just reboot. It doesn't seem to be happen when I am in any particular program more than others.

Following advice I read on these boards, i changed some setting so that I would hopefully get some insight into what was happening:

so now I get blue screen: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your compueter

DRIVER_TRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I have not installed any new hardware or software lately and this problem has been going on since I got the computer a couple of months ago ..so I suppose it could be anything. I do a lot of web stuff with the macromedia products. I'm running windows xp service pack 2 ...I'm up to date with all patches and whatnot.

thanks for any help,
Liz

Driver Problem

The short answer is this is a driver problem. Likely culprits are your network driver, video driver or anti-virus software. Try uninstalling the old drivers and installing the latest versions you can find, preferably Windows certified drivers.

Attach the 3 to 4 minidumps here, I will process the dump and find out the culprit. You can find the minidump at the folder \windows\minidump.

HI Lizweb,

Your windows carshes due to hardwre error such as faulty RAM, cache memory at CPU or motherboard, invalid PSU. Two of your minidumps have memory corruption. Four memory errors are found. You had better run memtest to confirm the memory is faulty. http://www.memtest86.org
