Maxtor Hdd's set to Raid O aren't recognized when loading XP Pro

I installed 2 Maxtor Sata 120 gig drives and set them up for Raid O. When I try to install the operating system - XP Pro - the HDD's are not recognized as being installed and I get the blue screen of death with error messages.

Please help....cause the Geek Guys at Best Buy took me for $300 and didn't fix the problem.

You need to load the SATA RAID drivers when the setup program asks you to. (Press F6 to load thrid party drivers)
