I shut down my PC today and when I tried to reboot I got a blue screen with the following message:

I have read threads on this topic without any satisfaction so far.

I tested the hard disk in another PC and it worked fine. I tried the hard disk from the PC with the blue screen and it worked fine.

I put the hard disk from the problem PC back in the problem PC and I got the blue screen.

The problem cannot be the display adapter as my other hard drive worked fine. The problem cannot be the hard disk as it worked fine in my other PC.

Can anyone help me out there?

Bugcheck 7E with nt status code c0000005 (access violation) is usually caused by faulty RAM. Reseat the memory stick to another slot. Clean the dust inside the PC. If it still crashes, downclock the RAM. If it does not resolve the problem. replace the RAM.

I too had the exact same issue happen to me. I found that the new motherboards with the PCI express video slots along with Windows XP Service Pack 1 was the culpret. I purchased WIN XP Service pack 2 and the install went correctly. It appears as though in order to use the new hardware you must upgrade to the lastest version of your software.

HI i'm new to this techspot but i to get the blue screen if i leave the pc on for a while i get: 0x0000007E (0x0000005,0xBA5FFDB1,0xF78FEC78,0xF78FE974) and under that is : SOEU52.sys

to which i normally just restart the pc then all goes well, but i wonder if this is what is making me internet go slow when browsing as sometimes i get alot of lag. I have tried looking on the mocrosoft site but unless your a collage professor you dont seem to get alook in any help would be appreiated

I have this problem after upgrading my PC with a different motherboard/ graphics card bundle.
I can boot up, but only in Safe Mode. I get the error message when booting from Win CD,it actually wizzes past too quickly when booting it up from the HD

I read that it could be a faulty Win registry (?) or a faulty RAM chip.

Any ideas please?
