PQ Magic patch 8.01 does not fix error 1513

PQ Magic 8.0 gives the error 1513 "Bad attribute position in file record". I installed the 8.01 patch, rebooted, and the problem still occurs. The symntec website does offere any additional support. Does anybody know how to fix this?

The 8.01-patch doesn't work. Luckily, the 8.01-patch works.
Confused?

There appears to be two patches, one named pm801_patch.zip (which doesn't work) and a zip-file named ENPM801_H1.ZIP which works (at least when I tested). Both are available at ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/products/pmagic/pmagic_8/updates/
