C cork Aug 15, 2005 #1 I am a newbie at this,I downloaded a movie (.avi) and tried to play it on my dvd player it just spitted it out,my dvd plays (.mpeg2),do I have to change this ? or what do I have to do. ? Thanks

Mictlantecuhtli Posts: 4,049 +13 Aug 15, 2005 #3 You need to convert it to MPEG-2 (or MPEG-1), can be done easily with TMPGEnc, for example. Then either burn to CD (if encoded to VCD / SVCD), or author a DVD and burn.
