Is it possible that my problem is caused by downclocked RAM? Just found out that I have used my two 333MHzs @ 267.

Hi Wizkid,

Change AGP from 8X to 4X. Maybe it can resolve the problem. One of the minidumps crash at nVidia Display card driver and one minidump has the footprint at the stack trace of nVidia Display Card Driver.

1 BSOD per day w/ several different error messages

Hi CPC, I can see that you've helped countless individuals with their random crashes. I seem to have problems of the same sort and was wondering if you might lend some assistance as well. I understand that you require "minidumps" but I'm not sure what that is exactly. But here is an example of the errors I recieve in the event viewer after a blue screen:

Error code 1000007f, parameter1 00000008, parameter2 80042000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000.

Error code 1000000a, parameter1 00000118, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 805001f9.

Error code 10000050, parameter1 fcff06be, parameter2 00000001, parameter3 f76476a6, parameter4 00000000.

Error code 1000000a, parameter1 0000011c, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804edd8f.

Error code 1000008e, parameter1 c0000005, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 f4cac170, parameter4 00000000.

Error code 100000d1, parameter1 c8def595, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000001, parameter4 a49512a7.

Error code 1000000a, parameter1 00000004, parameter2 00000002, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 804fb184.

Error code 0000004e, parameter1 00000099, parameter2 0001a5f3, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000.

If you need more info I would be glad to provide it. Thanks very much, in advace, for your assistance.

Hi CPC here are the error messages in more detail. Sometimes after recieving the BSOD I have to restart my PC two or three times before it will generate an error message as you can see from the time stamps. It will also stack several error messages into one session.

As far as how these error messages began, here's the story. I've built a computer with the following specs over a year ago, and it had been running stable ever since. In the beginning I used to have trouble with my Audigy 2 ZS card, and it would blue screen on me all the time. Then I installed the latest drivers and it resolved the issue. Here are my computer specs:

A8N-SLI deluxe motherboard
2x512mb OCZ DDRAMs
WD 10k RPM 74gb SATA HD
WD 7200RPM 250GB SATA HD
ATI x800 PCI-E video card
SB Audigy 2 ZS audio card
420W power supply

What's funny is that these error messages happened for about 15 days on my Windows XP SP2 Pro before I decided to reformat my PC. I decided to upgrade the OS to MCE 2005 since I recently bought an ATI HDTV wonder card. After a few days I got the BSODs again with some of the same error messages: page_fault, IRQL_error, etc... So I decided to remove the audiy 2 zs card and removed all the drivers thinking that might be the problem, but again I recieved the same error message. Only a few things changed after which I began recieving the error messages...I removed my MS wireless bluetooth keyboard/mouse combo and replaced them with a wired MS keyboard and logitech MX500 optical mouse. I attached them with USB adapters so they go right into the PS2 ports. Also, I just realized that I may have inadvertantly turned off the HD cooler that I installed, but I'm not sure if the error started soon after that. Anyway, my hard drive is now being cooled, but again I recieved the same error messages.

Here are a few of the most recent messages.

Open new thread for a new problem

Hi,

Open a new thread for a new problem. Zip 5 to 5 minidumps and attach the zip files at your new post. Most probably it is faulty ram or CPU.

Sure, but have you found a solution? My computer crashed again just a couple hours ago, apparently randomly.

One of you have a faulty mobo - the northbridge containing the mem controller is sick.

One of you has a faulty power supply - voltage dips too low.

One of you have a faulty RAM stick - dump adress keeps pointing to the same block.

And there was a driver bug problem.

Too many dumps ... too many people ... all in the same thread ... very confusing.
