Cannot Delete File!
I have a few files in my local settins\temp folder that refuse to be deleted. They say different things such as:
1. Cannot delete file: It is being used by another person or program. Now, I know what this means and kind of how to take care of it. One way is to kill it's processes. 2. sometimes it doesnt say it is being used, it just wont let me delete it. In my case, 90% of the time these files are harmful. I want to know if there is a way to bypass this "cannot delete" B/S and just get rid of it. I have files on there that I cannot find out what they are doiing or what they are, but I have found out they are harmful duplicates of some cheap virus. I dont want to go through any trouble getting rid of them, I just want to bypass anything and delete them once and for all WITHOUT them coming back. Thanks in advance, Adrian. |

Pocket KillBox is your best friend
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/killbox.php For your own sake (and that of your friends), browse through these posts and follow them if and when necessary: Follow these instructions EXACTLY and put HijackThis in e.g C:\Program Files\HJT and NOT in Temp or on the Desktop!. How to remove Begin2Search/Coolwebsearch and Other Nasties Then see How to post your Hijackthis log-files as an attachment. See How to remove Aurora/Nailfix To fix Trojans, see How to remove Trojans and its ilk! |
