Faulting application explorer.exe

So it's been a rough few days. My HD died on me as soon as I got back into town, corrupted disk, couldn't even boot. Ordered a brand new identical (going to run RAID1 after getting the RMA drive back)

Well got the new drive and have had more troubles trying to install XP and software, just been a nightmare. Finally got XP installed, thought it was ok, installed the first of the software then when I went to install Adobe Acrobat Pro I got the wonderful blue screen stop error. Details below.

Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.2180, faulting module shell32.dll, version 6.0.2900.2620, fault address 0x001e5e91.

I attached the minidumps.

Going to run a memory test but does anyone have any ideas? Latest bios, just installed the lastest Nvidia Nforce2 driver package thinking that might help. No luck.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

According to your minidumps si3112r.sys is the culprit. This is a sata driver.

I know nothing about sata hard drives, and can only tell you what I`ve found.

Does the above make any sense to you?
