Blue Screen / Minidumps attached

Please help me. I've tested the RAM as suggested in the FAQ and nothing is revealed.

My computer reboots approx 1 time per day

This is an ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe with Athlon XP 2400. 1M of RAM. 120G HDD.

The computer ran very well for about a year or two before the rebooting happened. New devices that have been installed is a USB bluetooth device and a Linksys CIT2000 (skype phone).

thank very much!

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Your minidumps are quite old, the latest being from 4/9/05.

Have you got any more recent minidumps?

Interestingly 2 of your old minidumps crash with a hardware error.

This could be any type of hardware, and can be difficult to diagnose.

What is the computer doing when it crashes?

Regards Howard

Blue Screen / Minidumps

Howard, thanks for replying. Literally every time except once, the computer has shut down and rebooted while I was not in front of it.

I've checked the Device Manager and I don't see any "cautions" and the only devices with red "x" in them are 3Com fast ethernet and MAC bridge miniport, which I believe are 'x'd because I killed that feature purposely.

Here are more recent minidumps.

One of your minidumps crashes with a hardware error.

Another one crashes with memory corruption. Faulty ram.

Is your 1gig of ram in a single stick, or 2 512meg sticks?

If it`s in 2 sticks try removing one stick and testing your system, if your system then becomes stable, the ram you took out is bad. If this doesn`t work try running with the other stick of ram. Please note. Some faulty ram can pass Memtest.

Regards Howard
