I was working on a PC at work today and I've run accross an error that I can't identify. I get the Windows blue screen that says windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer...ect.
The error is:
STOP: 0x0000007e, (0xc0000005, 0xf99489ad, 0xf9e49520, 0xf9e49220)
Mup.sys - Address F99489ad base at F993e000, datestamp 3b7ddf39
I'm told the system is running windows xp and has 512 megs of Ram.
When I boot in safe mode it goes right to this screen and goes no further. Any direction on what the issue might be would be tremdously helpful.
