I have a dial up connection at my house, now i have been useing it for time time but for about 3 weeks now i can't get online every time i dial in i get a message saying no dial tone. Can anyone help me out. Thanks

"no dial tone" is pretty self-explanatory, no?
Do you get an immediate dialtone when you pick up the phone yourself?
You can tell the computer not to wait for a dialtone. Be sure to add some delay before the dialled number in that case though. (Put a few commas in front of the number a la ",,,123456")

Make sure call waiting is disabled and you have the proper drives for your modem.
