a7n e deluxe athlon 2 gig 233 6600gt oc excellent performance increase

I have the asus a7n8x e deluxe with the first generation athlon 2600+
2gig 266 cpu and a gig 1/2 ram + the 6600gt agp that I overclocked 10 percent
on the core clock (553) and the memory clock (1 gig) using the xtreme g 81.98
ge force drivers that gave me an average frame rate of 44 on the fear demo!
Also a 3d05 score of 3460, not bad for the 6600gt!

Have you tried bumping up the bus speed to 400mhz?

no, I have a 32 bit cpu

Until i fork out more mula I won't reach anything above 400 mhz buses
unless I buy like a socket a 3200+ athlon/not sempron, sempron sucks!! I don't care what type of cpu. Socket a's still compete with some 64bit cpu's
beleive it or not, My mobo supports a 400 mhz bus and thats impressive for being 2 yrears old, I am in no hurry to buy a 64 bit mobo yet unless maybe it's a
an asrock 939 that supports both agp and sli slots but it has limited features but
it only costs like 65$ which is quite cool! As far as over clocking a first geNneration 2600+ xp cpu good luck acheiving 400mhz from 266! I am
proud of my asus a7n8x e deluxe and its benchmarks, however I will probably
upgrade sooner or later! See you on the flip side.

OK. I misunderstood. I thought only the RAM was set at 266. Check Ebay. Ive seen Barton 2500's and 3200's really cheap. Ive gotten 3 2500's that all OC to 3200 with no problem. With one of those and a Radeon 9800 Pro I was able to play Half Life 2 at 1600x1200.

switched cpus

I recentlty switched cpus 2600+ to barton 2500+ socket a oc to
2 gig with my a7n e deluxe board which I have connected to my 57 inch hd tv
over 25 feet of s video cable that looks totally good for gaming ,only, (1024
by 768 res), I have tried dvi and component inputs but only end up with 720p
correct full desktop resolution, games are shown in portions if at all. The
sound is straight out of the onboard nfocre2 chipset coax that is
connected to my home 6.1 in wall surround sound system that kicks lots of ***.
I have a blue tooth keyboard and mouse and a couch with a flip down
center cushon that I place my keyboard on while in gamemode, that's
the only way to play pc games..... right off the couch with a hd big screen!
Cpu oc'ed 10%, gpu oc'ed 10%, gig and a half of ram and surround
sound while on the couch kickin ***!!!
