1406 Error ButtonText write to Registry - FrontPage 2003
I loaded a newly opened Frontpage 97 and installed it with no problems. I followed immediately with the upgrade package purchased yesterday ['97 upgrade is supported]. Near the end of the installation (as an upgrade) the Error 1406 cannot write to registry appeared.
UPDATE here is the ACTUAL error:
Error 1406. Setup cannot write the value ButtonText to the registry key\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\{92780B25-18CC-41C8-B9BE-39C571A8263}.
I cancelled, and tried installing again (as full installation) and still got the error. I'm the only user, I am the administrator, so I don't understand. During the '97 installation, I was asked to enter a username and password to access the "webs". I entered a different ID and password than I have for windows. Can THAT be the issue?
