The 3000+ is a pentium rating that stands for 3000MHz+, which is 3GHz because 1000MHz is 1GHz.
Just remember that the AMD Athlon 64 processors are 64-bit processors that can run the 64-bit software and operating systems.
Some Pentium 4 3.0GHz processors are 32-bit and some are 64-bit.
A Pentium 4 E 3.0GHz processor has the EM64T instruction set that makes it 64-bit, but the others are 32-bit.

That's only partially true, some "E" pentium 4's are 32bit while others are 64bit capable.
For example a 3.0E cpu is a 32bit cpu, even though it has the "E."

A pentium 4 630 though is 64bit capable, and is also 3ghz.

"E" just means it has a prescott core, not necesarily anything to do with 32/64bit support.

As long as the Pentium 4 processor (or any other Intel processor) has an EM64T instruction set shown in the Intel table in "The Mother of All CPU Charts 2005/2006" it is 64-bit, because that is the instruction set that adds 64-bit capability.

my Athlon 64 3000+ will perform about the same in games as a 3.2Ghz P-4. My CPU costs half that tho and mine will run cooler. 64 bit or 32. doesn't REALLY matter right now. It will when Vista comes out tho.
