Remotely Accessing another computer
I have two offices that are about 4 hours apart. The office manager at one of my offices is constantly having problems with her computer.
I've heard people talking about remotely accessing another computer. Do I need special software to do this or is it built into Windows? My PC is running Win XP Pro SP1 and I'm not sure if her PC is running Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Pro. Both PC's have a dynamic DSL connection, and her office has a Linksys wireless router. I hope someone out there can help me out, because it's really driving me CRAZY!! Thanks in advance. |

that shouldn't matter much all she has to do is send you a remote desktop invitation for remote assistance.. you can learn all about remote desktop assistance here.. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../rmassist.mspx
now the other thing that you can do instead of having to worry about sending and recieving the invitations is buy a software program for remote desktop help called Net Monitor for employees.. i use it hear instead of having to do the windows remote version..you can get that here http://www.simtel.net//product.php%5...D%5dsimtel.net or look around for something more suitable to your needs.. good luck dude |

You don't need invitations to use Remote Desktop - you can configure the computer to accept remote connections automatically.
