OK guys what should i go with with an old pc i got layin around, windows 2000 or Ubuntu Linux? ANy ideas?

LOl the other thread is for mu cuzzin, Peddant i got a question. My cuzzins computer cant use the video drivers for linux.SO were can i get linux drivers for nvidea tnt2 32m/64m?

hey when i try to open Synaptic Package Manager, it doesnt open?

Gotta be root to opy synaptic package manager... you must be using KDE as windows manager. If that's the case install kynaptic and try that.

Heard a few good things about Ubuntu. Google has their eye on it, so that's gotta be something.

Oh darn, no kynaptic anymore; seems like synaptic is all that's left; logout and login to the system with GNOME window manager; you should be prompted for the main user password (equivalent to root).

unless you're a glutton for punishment and like memorizing commands.... go with windows.
