I've not had problems with Nero, so I've voted for that. But its not free, and there are decent free alternatives.

I`ve always used Nero in one form or another and never had any problems.

My current version is Nero 6 ultra edition.

I used to use Sonic! Record Now, but i had a lot of problems with it, so i moved over to Nero, and i think its excellent, as far as free DVD/CD burning software is concerned, check out this site

CloneCD. I have to do a hell of a lot of identical copies of things and burning from an image is quicker.

Nero definately. Again you have to pay for it, but you get a basic version of it free with many cd/dvd burners you buy.
