BSOD Help
Processor: Athlon Fx-57
Ram: Corsair XMS Platinum 1 stick 1024MB I have 2 but only using one. MOBO: Asus A8N SLI Deluxe PSU: 800 Watt Video Cards : Dual GeForce 7800 GT's Went to bed, powered down my computer.. Woke up and turned it on, to a BSOD.. Tried Safe Mode, tried last known configurations.. Took out ram moved to 3 different slots, even tried a stick of my buddy's and it still didn't work.. The BSOD says "STOP : 0x0000007B.." Anybody have a clue as to what happened? |

Hello and welcome to Techspot.
This is the meaning of your bugcheck code. 0x0000007B: INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE Windows lost access to the system partition or boot volume during the startup process. Typical causes: Installing incorrect device drivers when installing or upgrading storage adapter hardware, or a virus. Try a different ide cable and see if that solves the problem. If not, check your hard drive for problems. See this thread HERE. Regards Howard

Hey Howard.. Thanks again for your speedy reply.. I just tried the IDE cable but that did not work.. I have one IDE and 2 SATA hard drives and windows is on one of the SATA's.. Before giving me the BSOD, while booting it says, "No Valide Deivce!" Press any key to continue.. (even mispelled as I just typed it) then it proceeds to the BSOD.. thanks again for your help

Boot into XP recovory console using ther XP cd, and then run chkdsk /r.
