A receipt is a legal document that can hold up in court!
Please try Dell Support again, and explain that you are the legal owner.

@Tmagic650. Dell is first option always. A receipt means it's owned by them
Also I'm not trusting of these sites posted (externally) here. Unless there's lots of feedback by members. Strangely there hasn't been much or any feedback of members saying. I just got my Laptop fixed by this company at this price.

Dell's price is $39 (I think someone got it cheaper than that too, at Dell)
Not only that, but you become a Dell registered owner, for any future issues.

That's my point. You could have halved the cost. The question is why didn't you?
This is where you sign off, and don't answer back. Hence my suspicion.

Hey, I am over 55, and don't forget passwords, lol. I just use my girlfriend's name. I better not forget that.

I just turned 58 (June 3) and I keep a list of passwords for my clients and myself in a Word 2007 document on file... My 3 or so mostly used passwords are locked in my mind

It won't be long until she moves you out to a nursing home, and tells you it is a hotel on the Riviera and you are on vacation. You won't remember your name or hers, but she will remember your banking account.

#2pax2fwxmdm-595b hdd password lockout

"Hi all you need to write a bit of a story for rastam" ...

I was walking along the backalleys with my girl when a bright light appeared above me and an alien said take us to your leader ... I said what leader this is Youngstown Ohio murder capital of America 1995 1997 2002 ... there's no leaders here.

The big one sighed and explained that they had bought this Laptop on ebay but it was hdd password protected and they'd heard the only way to get it open was to contact the great Rastam at Techspot on the net ... apparently they are really into ICP Boogie Woogie Wu (youtube) ... not really sure why.

The deal is I get them the password and they stop traveling millions of miles to probe peoples buttocks ... don't know what they're looking for up there but it sounded like a really good deal at the time.

Its a b130 #2pax2fwxmdm-595b

Thanks

Not true

Also the b130 password cannot be removed by Paperclip method
You must contact Dell. Here:

http://support.dell.com/support/topi...dhs&redirect=1

After registering with Dell (for approx $39) You can then get your Password removed.

Actually I knew that.
But was concerned everyone might write a story or something.
By the way, he's long gone from TechSpot (a free open support forum)

HP OmniBook xt6200 Notebook

Take it to pieces and remove the CMOS battery to reset the Bios.
By the way, hardware experience required

Or (Better choice)

Contact HP and read out the hash code that you can get by pressing 'F2' and then 'F12' at startup. (Oh you have yours already: 13178)

Hey I did some searching around, you may need to short the pins on the eeprom The paper clip guide can be found in this thread (quite a few times)

Maybe just contact Hp

Hi

I did a google and found this thread, good luck though it sounds tricky.

I'll do some more digging and see if anything else crops up.

Regards

Dell Inspiron 2200 BIOS password. Rustam!

Hello all & RUSTAM,

My name is Jordan, an Account Manager in Toronto.

A year ago I set a password on my Inspiron 2200 and forgot it. Judging by the forums, you might get these requests frequently so I'm sorry if I'm just another person asking for help.

My SERVICE TAG is 7YGPW81-595B, I was wondering you would be able to email me my code or old pass. What bugs me is that I remember setting it to something simple like 1234 or 12345 or asdf. You might see that if its in the service tag. I tried for hours already.

My email is email removed or I'll be happy to give you my phone number via email.

Anyways, IF YOU ARE EVER IN TORONTO, I would like to buy you a drink or show you the town. Let me know. I hope you get this soon!

Thanks.

JordanR,
Rustam is no longer on this site and you have broken some site rules concerning your post...

nickbunt there are many many sites that offer this payment of service on the web (a simple search will show them)
But hopefully users come here to either get free advice (ie paperclip method), or to actually get the password free.

The first option is to always contact the laptop manufacture for password removal.
