Inspiron, Latitude, or XPS? Please give model number so we don't have to go to the Dell site to look up everything. If you do not do your own homework, nobody is going to be interested in helping you.
Also, where bought, when. What you have already tried? Are you the original owner? How did the password error occur? Have you talked to Dell? |

I will have to get my old equipment out, but I do not recollect the D520, D620, and the D820 having the same one.
In my notes, I have it down that the D620 is unique to the others in that series. I do have it in the back of my mind that all three impossibly difficult, and that Dell could not supply the password disk when a motherboard had to be replaced... that I had to ship them into RoundRock or Illinois. More later. |

Yes we here this story over and over... Just call Dell and wait 21 days for the new registration to take affect... Why the passwords are in effect, I don't know. i trashed one Dell XPS desktop because of a bios password blocking boot up

If anyone needs help with the paperclip guide on the Latitude D600 please pm me and i'll help you all i can. It wasn't to bad after i located the chip. Please dont ask me about any others because it took me a week to figure this one out..
