BugCheck 1000008E, BSOD only when using Adaware or Spybot

This is a pretty clean system. Wasn't having any issues until I installed Windows Defender. It installed fine, then it started a quick scan which BSOD'ed within the first few minutes. So I uninstalled it, tried scanning with Spybot, same BSOD within 5 minutes. Same thing with adaware. I ran a prime95 test, no problems. I ran a scan with Avast on the whole C: Drive in windows, no virues, no BSOD.
Any help?

AMD 3200+ 939, 512MB RAM, XP Home SP2.

Thanks!

Well, replaced the bad RAM with new RAM (which I tested and came out good), and I still get the same BSOD error.

Any help?
