BSOD / Random Restart
Hello!
First post here. I am experiencing random reboots, and it doesn't seem to be a particular time at which I'm doing something on the computer for it to happen. Apparently it got the Blue Screen even when I wasn't home in front of the computer. So far, I've gotten 2 different BSOD messages Not_Equal_QLS (or whatever) ***Stop: 0x0000000A (0x02000018, 0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x805001F9) And another one that doesn't really specify and exact problem? ***Stop: 0x00000024 (0x001902FE, 0xF7A17A88, 0xF7A17784, 0x805318F5) The first one I've listen occurred when I wasn't at home and the second one is the one I believe I'm getting majority of the time. Specs: AMD 64 3500+ 2.2ghz Xtra Low Lantency Crossair XMS Series PC3200 DDR400 1GB (512 x 2) Tru Antec 500W PSU XFX 6800gt PCI-E 16x 256MB Western Digital S-ATA 120GB HD Asus A8N-SLI Delux MOBO Windows XP Professional SP2 Other Info: About 2 months ago, I did a huge dust clean out of my case and all the components and haven't gotten this error until very recently (within the last 2 weeks). I was having issues with Windows Firewall, so I recently used a program to block some ports to make sure that my PC would stop being attacked. Another change was installing a game "Company of Heroes", but other than that, I haven't made any drastic changes... I'll attach 2 of the minidumps for you to look at. Thank you for any help given! ![]() -Michael EDIT: I also have ran memtests through a total of 2 tests and it passed both times (just in case you guys think it's a memory issue) but I could always run the test again if you think that'd be best Last edited by kidintheshadows; 11-19-2006 at 08:34 PM.. Hi,
You haven't resolved the windows symbol, your debug reports are not useful. Zip 5 to 6 minidumps here. |

Hi,
Yours windows are crashed randomly and it is the symptom of faulty ram. Some faulty ram can pass memtest. Try reseat the ram to another memory slot or downclock the ram. I left the memtest on over night just to see what happened and it passed 26 tests.
However, I decided to clean my case again and there was a lot of dust around one stick of ram which I believe could have very well been the problem. After taking every component out and cleaning it and then placing them back in, should hopefully fix the problem. I'll let you know what happens. Thanks for your help! =) |
