R Rik Posts: 3,679 +2 Dec 2, 2006 #2 1394 is firewire not usb!! They are 2 very different technologies!! A firewire plug should only ever be plugged into a firewire port!! If your mobo doesn't have a firewire port then it doesn't support it!!!!
