Phant, as I am also . My parents think it is uncanny about how I know so many actors/actresses names and know so much about so many movies. I tend to correct people about movie facts a lot or movie quotes, and my parents always ask me who someone is in a movie or what other movie they played in.

Though I am a very hard to please critic. I dont see many movies at all that I am impressed with. I would say a LOT of the movies that would be in my favorites category are from the 80's.

Thats a very good movie!

The Matrix is defently up there...
Terminator 2.

Scariest movie: Red Dragon.
Im too chicken to see Silence of the Lambs now, as I left in red dragon as he bit the dudes toung out of his mouth and sent him down the street in flames FREAKIN SCARY MOVIE. Havnt seen Hannible either (thank god)

The Ring was the lamest let down ever....completly boring, and not scary the least bit.

No, that's "The Return of The Jedi". Its not bad and has its moments, but its a rip off of the plot of "A New Hope"in many ways, and plays to the kids a little too much.

Ah, but if I was as young as yourself, then maybe I'd think the same. I bet you don't watch Sesame Street anymore.

Oh, and here is what P66 Posted about your favourite Star Wars movie, which proves my point ...

Some good choices, JSR.

Its hard to narrow down anything like movies, or songs, games, etc to a list of just ten.

Seven Samurai is the original, did you watch it? If not, do it as soon as you can. It's an hour longer than the American Magnificent Seven.

That's one of my choices for the best movie soundtrack ever. Along with Indiana Jones and Star Wars.

Give him a break, eh? He's only 14.

To tell the truth, I am impressed by his intelligence and articulate nature, for one so young.

There should be more kids like him in the world (i.e interested in computers, books, etc), than there are. I hope my sons have similar interests.

And you could easily call my film choices immature too.

My remarks weren't mean't to be taken as critisism. Simply pointing out some facts.
Would you rate Mortal Kombat, or Gone in Sixty Seconds, as good films, with a good plot? Exactly.

And yes, --agissi-- is very bright and mature for his age.

You don't need to point out the fact that a 14 year old is young compared to you or me. That goes without saying. Lighten up, eh?

i think

it's a generation thing......to what degree it impacted your life, and what experience you have to draw from as your basis for your selection.......so, it's a matter of perspective......oh, and phant, nic,........if you guys would give your height weight and reach, we can start pooling the odds for a donnybrook

I think you are misunderstanding things.

The point is that as we grow older our tastes become more sophisticated, and we look for more meaning from films (etc). Age was in this case the whole point, and not a critisism. I think you also need to lighten up a little P66.

I'm sure --agissi-- didn't take things the wrong way. We get along just fine.

Besides, I didn't mention his age. You did.

I'm living in Germany and I haven't seen any German movie there is...

I forgot another great score:
Terminator 2

Great action movie, btw. It's one of the very few which provides for deeper involvement than just action and entertainment.
