McAfee Enterprise 8.5 AV - shstat.exe 50% cpu, systray AV menu frozen

It does not happen all them time but once in a while when I right click on McAfee Enterprise Anti-virus system tray icon the menu comes up but it's frozen.
At this point I notice that shstat.exe is using 50% cpu. Killing shstat.exe does not help.
All windows menus are screwed up. They don't seem to come up at all. Only running cursor over them makes the menu items appear.
Has anyone run into a similar problem?

I use 8.5, but I've never seen the problem you're having. Have you patched?

Hello!

It took me a full working day to find an answer to this problem, but here it is:

Disabling Nview Desktop Manager should resolve this problem. If your computers do have it, I can recommend disabling it!

Note, the computer I had the problem with didn't have Nvidia Geforce GO 6600, but a Quadro NVS 110 instead, but still it works now!

As this is the first post i make in these forums, i can't paste the link but below you can copy/paste it.

just put h t t p s : / / in front of the address and it should do the trick!
