error #1 Dispatch error #4501
error #2 the parameter is incorrect

it says to double click on the error message , to see what's up....what's up is there is no help when i click on the error message.....i would be in your debt if you could help me down the road to recovery...thank you

If you have the original installation CD, try uninstalling Roxio and then reinstalling the software from CD. The patch has maybe caused a problem.

However, it could be the case that the patch desires the latest adaptec ASPI layer. Go back onto Roxio's site and download that, which should be available.

Updating Easy CD Creator to the latest version should correct this error.

You may update your software by going to:

http://www.roxio.com/en/jhtml/support/webcheckup.jhtml

If this fails to resolve the issue try:

1.) Try to determine which file is causing the error and remove it from your project list.

2.) If you ripped the files yourself with a third party application or downloaded the file, try converting the mp3's that are in your problem project list to .WAV file using Sound Stream. If the file will not convert or will not record; the file is bad and will need to be re-sampled to a rate of at least 44,100 hz.

Please follow these procedures to convert mp3 to wav.

1.) Launch sound stream

2.) In the upper left hand pane click the button with three folders.

3.) Select a folder containing the .MP3 files.

4.) There should now be .mp3 files listed in the left hand pane.

5.) Select a file or multiple file and add it to the right hand pane either by double clicking or highlighting and clicking the right arrow button.

6.) Click the button with three folders in the upper right hand pane.

7.) Choose the file type you would like to convert to and select a folder to be saved in.

8.) Click the record button and the file or files should convert.

If the file does not go the record process this file will need to be re-sampled, or removed form your easy cd creator project list.

In other words, reconvert the MP3 file or use another burn program. I suggest Nero Bruning Rom 5.X/6.x, though my preference goes to 5.x.
