Stubborn Browser Hijacker (HJT Log)

Every 3rd or 4th hyperlink i click on opens up a search results page in google (for adult content) or opens up a pornographic site directly (the address bar usually contains "finderbrowser"). I have run all the usual apps, and several people over at the firefox support forum suggested i post a "hijack this" log here. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

***Sorry guys should have edited this thread instead wasting your time by having you merge it. Not sure why the log files didn't attach the first time, but here they are again...

hi HOTrisingsun.
you do have a few nasties in your pc.
this is what you need to do first. GO TO THIS LINK follow the instrucions. after you have completed them, move 'hijack this' from your desktop and place it in programme files, within its own folder, after you have done that, chang the name of 'hijack this exe' to analyser 1991, or something similar. the reason for this, is that there are bug that are able to hide from it underits original name.
scan you pc with 'hijack this,' and post a fresh hjt log as well as an avg log. make sure that you have the newest version of 'hjt'
upload the logs as an attachment and not as a past, as you have done with this log.
to up load a log. below the reply box there is a section called 'attach files' select manage attatchments to begin the upload process. please be so kind as to remove the present log by using the edit button. thanks.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

Very Important: Before deciding whether you should clean or reformat your system, go and read this thread HERE and decide what it is you want to do.

If after reading the above, you wish to clean your system, do the following.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Then, go and read the Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions. Follow all the instructions exactly.

Post fresh HJT, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread, only after doing the above. Also, attach the C:\fixwareout\report.txt.

Also, let me know the results of the AVG Antirootkit scan.

Regards Howard

Resiliant Browser Hijacker

I have followed all the steps listed in the "Viruses/Spyware/malware, preliminary removal instructions" thread, but i cannot seem to knock this nasty piece of work out. Every 3rd of 4th hyper link i click on redirects me to a Google results page (for adult content) or i get redirected to a porn site directly (address bar usually contains "finderbrowser"). I have attached my log files for combofix, avg antispyware and hjt, and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys! And as i side note, according to the avg rootkit scanner, i have no rootkits installed.

please post your 'hijack this' log. make sure that you have changed its name too.

please post your log in your original thread, HERE

Threads merged.

Follow the instructions and post the log files as attachments as requested in my post above. Unless you do that, we can`t help you.

Regards Howard :)
