Personaly I think PS3 would sell ALOT more if they didnt make it $878556 and sell it for the same price as the Xbox 360 or something... Also take out all the crap that they just HAD to include ( Like the Blu-ray driver )

The reason most games are switching is because PS3 really sucks and take too long to develope because of the Blu-ray drive... If you look at the Oblivion game for PS3 Bethesda said that they had to extend release for about 2 months because of all the glitches the blu-ray caused

yeah like I previously stated, the blue ray player was a waste, they could have sold the ps3 for the same price without it and all the fanboys would have still bought it, sony could have saved 300 dollars in production as well.

Who out of all the people who have posted in this thread, other than me and vnf4ultra, actually own a PS3? I own a PS3, 360, and a Wii. I've had the 360 since launch day(sat in line a local Wal-mart for 4 hours) and it was a great system until I got the 'Rings O' Death' in January, and now I dont consider it worth the $140 to get it repaired off warranty because I know it will only happen again. I was around and watch'd the 360 mature over the last year and a half and I am now watching the PS3 get all the same features with updates. The way I see it, the PS3 with be able to do everything the 360 can online by the end of the year, maybe even sooner, that is really the only thing they are lacking right now. I'm perfectly content with the 3 PS3 games I own(Motorstorm, Resistance, and Full Auto 2) and I've only beaten one of them so far(Resistance in Co-op) I'm really looking forward to Lair, Killzone, Unreal 3, and maybe MGS4. I've never really got into the metal gear series but with all the hype about it I may have to at the very least rent it.

I am considering buying the console, even if it is only for MGS4. That series blew me away. Hideo is the man when it comes to games that pack a punch.

The main reason I bought it is because I really love the MGS series so I spent $700 on a PS3 for it... If MGS goes to 360 then i'll just break my PS3

Over here in Great Britain it is costing £450 just for the basic pack with no games. Thats about $900!!!!

To me one big drawback for the PS3 right now is the impossibility to play Blu-Ray movies in 720p. They're downscaled to 480p or in best cases upscaled to 1080i if your set supports it. Of course if you have a full HD set that can do 1080p, it's not a problem.

The ps3 has some really good features and the graphics on some games are really good just that the price tag is reallllllllllly high especially in jamaica i mean its basically US1000 for the 20 gig version but right now the Wii seems to be better in terms of interaction

I own a ps3 and the thing that really gets me is the ps3 online interface with the games, its worthless. Granted im used to playing computer games online but even the 360's online interface is worlds above the ps3. I just hope they can get it together, but since its free i cant really complain. Another thing is the sixaxis without rumble.... i played the gran turismo hd demo and i instantly missed the rumble, i really think they messed up taking that out. Its like getting a massage without the happy ending at the local rub and tug ....good, but not great, haha.

ROFL b3lm0nt - nice closer there. I've gotta say I don't understand all the complaining about the PS3. I have loved mine since the day I got it and really love the bluray capability - it was a deciding factor for me. Of course I'm a hi-def zealot and have a full 1080p set so I haven't seen some of the problems others are reporting with scaling. I do miss the rumble and hate that Resistance refuses to release a patch for keyboard/mouse support. I was a hardcore FPS player back in the day, but I'm terrible playing them with a controller. I also have a Wii and will be getting a 360 elite when they release. I think all of them are great systems (yes, I have access but don't own a 360.) I know many of you are upset about the addition of the bluray player which forced a rise in the system price, but I'm sure once you have upgraded your televisions you will feel differently about that.

I'm pissed that Microsoft didn't include the HD-DVD drive in the 360 elite and I think it looks rather tacky having to purchase an external drive for it. There better be a black one released or I won't purchase it and will purchase another set-top instead.

I'm also pissed that the Wii doesn't support any real HD and isn't really any more powerful than the Gamecube felt at release. Sure it's loads of fun my daughter loves it, but when I have company over I'd better let them play the Wii before the PS3 otherwise they ask me what this crap is since it looks so much worse and is only amplified by larger television sets.
