People..Time and patience is a virtue!!! You all should know it takes time for technology to keep advancing...Give it a Year and the PS3 will out perform the 360 and Wii...PERFORMANCE wise..marketing is not that important if you consider ourself a gamer because quailty should be more important not who sells the most and what others prefer. Graphically the PS3 has the edge...Nvidia, Toshiba and IBM helped develope the processors for it!

Games are not all about graphics. They have to be good games too. Graphics is just one deciding factor. Look at Grim Fandango or Monkey Island, they don't look very good, but they're one of the best games ever made. And what do you mean the PS3 will outperform the X360? It already has the edge in raw number-crunching power. The PS3 doesn't have too many games out and most people whom I know are buying it because they use it as a Blu-Ray player, since it's the cheapest one around. And who told you that the PS3 is "good-quality" and the others are not?
Actually, that IS how you find out if a console is worth buying or not. The PS3 seems to be losing in that aspect. I bought my PS2 because all the people I know who owned one loved it. The PS3 is a great console sure, but Sony's policy of "higher prices equals better quality" (not only in the PS3, but all their other products as well) has them in a mess now.

I definitely do not know anything about those two games that you mentioned. 21st century, Graphics are what most people buy gaming consoles for. We all know computers are the best for such, nothing tops that. XBOX 360, i never said anything that the PS3 is better then it, all I was simply saying is to give it time and all the XBOX enthusiaist will stop the non-sense about saying how the PS3 marketing is crap and how much it sucks. I plan to purchase the 360elite since its black instead of the ugly white. C&C 3 is also a contributing factor for such. Looking forward to the Tom Clancy games coming out! Therefore if you do not own a PS3 there is not much speculation, much like I cannot downplay th 360. If it was not like for games like C&C 3 or gears of war, what else can enthusiasts exploit besides sales# over the PS3?

Not always. A Sony DVD writer or a memory stick is more expensive than others from LG/SanDisk and performs just the same. Why the higher price then? Also, I asked if a higher price makes the PS3 better in any way. Does it?
Graphics are not what most people buy consoles for. The Wii doesn't have super HD graphics like the X360 and the PS3, yet it's outselling both of them. Explain that.
I'm not an Xbox fanboy or anything (I used to own the first XBox and also own a PS2) but the PS3 doesn't give me any reasons to buy it. As for games, why are there such few games being exclusively developed for the PS3? Most of the PS3 games are also coming on the Xbox, including the upcoming GTA and FF titles. Why buy the more expensive PS3 then rather than the cheaper (in respect to the PS3) X360 then?

Im not an enthusiast and i have no reason to say why buy one system over the other. Depends what you can afford and myself, will make a budget for 360. The Wii is the Next Gen console for poor people, not to insult anyone and parents see it as a better price to buy their kids because its one third the price of a PS3 and half the price of a 360. Exclusive games are hard to come by for the PS3 because SONY is too cheap to License exclusive games because they are too busy trying to make money from what they are loosing from producing cheap Blue Ray players. I could care less about exclusive games for now because i will own a 360. Wateva your budget can support but wat u want. Also in respect my friend, you have to pay the same price $600. PS3 built in HDD and Blue-ray. 360, Buy memory cards, built in 20gig HDD and buy HD-DVD player for $200. You tell me whats worth it? I know they are coming out with a larger HDD says Microsoft but whats the price and i bet you going to have to pay for ur HD-DVD player because they wont have it built in. 480 not so bad but the PS3 is definitely worth its price thats y all the Euros rack3d up on them. Even tho our cheap economy can afford them

The Wii is much more fun than the PS3 & Xbox, besides being cheaper than both, which is why it is more popular. And the PS3 for some reason is more expensive in Europe than in the US, so it is definitely not worth paying up for a PS3 that has lower specs (I believe I saw an article on the The Enquirer detailing that) and a higher price, seeing that the euro is higher in value than the dollar. And exclusive games are worth "bothering about" since titles like the Halo and Metal Gear Solid series are major crowd(not to mention cash)-pullers for both consoles.

The Wii is for people who get no exercise, not assuming your apart of that. I dont have time and energy to play motion sensitive games. Only thing i regret the PS3 is the Six axis which i have not seen purpose and the rumble. Exclusive games like Halo are for enthusiasits. Metal gear is also for them to because those who previously owned the system are going to wnt it because of that reason. Metal Gear im not a exclusive fan but when the price dies down i will own. Tom Clancy franchise is Mulit platform like Hitman, Madden and plenty of other games. Console "pullers" help exploit the systems but if you have the money and know what you technically believe is worth it then make that investment. Let Weed be legal in the US and our dollar would be worth more to. Much like Canada whose currency is worth more. Downscaling and compatability is an issue, but thats why I luv living in america. Overall PS3 is worth its dollar so is the 360, but in the long run you are going to invest more in the 360, thats all.

The sixaxis does not support rumble, it's not built into the controller.

Read the new Game informer. Sony and Imersion just agreed to a multi milion law suit...Sony is in some debt....Production of the Rumble will begin...Six axis does not have it built in...In a few months They will become available whether sony, madcatz or another 3rd party vendor makes them for the PS3..This also might be some where on gamespot.com, althought its in the MAY issue of Gameinformer.

the sixaxis doesn't have rumble/vibration but a future, rumbling version of the Sixaxis remains a distinct possibility even though it's a bit old-gen.

The moderators have control over every thread here. So what if it's "your thread". And this thread was started with the intention of discussing the PS3 and it's capabilities, not saying it is better than the other consoles in any way.
As for the PS3, I just bought one and I also got Oblivion for it. Man it is AMAZING!!! My HDTV supports 1080i and it looks GORGEOUS on it. Everything is so rich and detailed! Can't wait to play MGS4 on it!!!

Regarding bang-for-buck, it's definitely the cheapest Blu-Ray player out there, that's for sure.

Also it has built in WIFI i mean c'mon its a luxury. The only down fall is it weighs in @ 11 pounds (Lbs). Otherwise i have noticed talk about hy-bird players. Wouldnt that be awesome! A console that plays HD-DVD and Blu-ray?

I just bought FEAR and the latest Splinter Cell for the console. FEAR was an awesome experience, far more entertaining than playing it on the PC. Double Agent looked eye-popping, but I thought Chaos Theory was better in terms of story.
@Myzz617, a hybrid player is in the works at Samsung and LG has already released one. If only they were cheap enough...

@ Rage. I mean for console users. Video entertainment is great and its like the VHS DVD combo. Prices will go down in about 2-3 years. Mind as well enjoy what you have now before everybody has it basically. 2x Agent looks ight on PS3 has lower review like FEAR does. Will buy them when their price goes down or when Madden 08 comes out so i dont easily get tired.

How about Godfather? Chaos theory i have it PS2, but did not beat it. Looking forward to End War and that COD4. But cant wait omg SOCOM

Yes, sucks how we have no clue to MGS4 release. sucks even more for SOCOM release. Actually, i wonder about hitman. And an Ace Combat or C&C since its coming out for the 360.

Have you heard about Kayne and Lynch, dunno if its the exact name its comin out for 360 and also now the PS3.
