One of the problems with the ps3 is the price tag, which might go down because the ps2 used to be about £200 and now it's £99.99 for the black one and £114.99 for the silver in the uk.When poeple stop buying the ps3 they should put the price down. That's why i'm waiting for a little while and then i'm gonna buy it,Sony might also put rumble in thier ps3 controllers in the future. (HOPE THEY DO!)

Have you played any of the burnout games on ps2?
i got burnout revenge and it's a good game if you don't have it buy it.
It's rated 9.1 out of 10.you can read burnout's review here:

Nope..dont own any burnouts games. The PS3 is worth the price dude i dunno wat u mean drop the price. Sony looses money in production of the PS3. They have gone as far as airlifting PS3 units into the STATES in order to meet demand. I noticed it is sellinf more in Europe than the states so i hear your grief. Resistance is one of the best games. Time is a virtue, i have seen aritcles of a PS4, which is more accurately something like the Elite but a more updated PS3. Cant wait for GRAWII thats what i want

Since poeple think the ps3 is not worth that price (not including me) Sony are going to upgrade it.

Sony is introducing a new add-on peripheral for the PlayStation 3, giving people even more ways to spend money on an already obscenely expensive console. In what amounts to a webcam, Sony's “PlayStation Eye” also includes a built in microphone and is there to facilitate video chatting from console to console. The hardware specs of the camera aren't anywhere near impressive, so hopefully the as of yet unreleased pricing for the unit won't be ridiculous. It also comes with software letting you use it as a regular PC cam, such as being able to save photos and videos to your PS3. Where they could really go with this is to incorporate video communication overlaid into games. Nothing better than being able to see the look on someone's face as you're shooting them in the face. Online, of course.

The PlayStation Eye is scheduled for release this summer

Looking to expand the reach of the PlayStation 3, Sony is planning the launch of a movie service for the console. With it, PS3 owners will be able to download full-length movies straight to it, and possibly music as well. Given the capability of the console to output in HD and its built in hard drive, it's a perfect path for it. It may end up even being a selling point, which the PS3 eneds badly at this point. No word on pricing, availability, time or other such details has been made public. However, one bone of contention is likely to be DRM, especially if people are seeking to pull those movies or songs off the PS3 to put onto their computer or a portable device.

Sony will use Asustek this year to manufacture the new console, and next year Foxconn will manufacture them, starting in February. Given that the PS3 already is being sold at a loss despite its enormous pricetag, one must wonder how much changing manufacturers costs Sony. No word is mentioned on whether yet another company will be involved, but that is not likely considering Foxconn's size as a manufacturer. The last thing Sony will want is a shortage of units when they finally get around to releasing them.

I knew they were gonna do something, thats why i was waiting.

Sony is releasing an upgraded version of the PS3 soon, just like the similar (and highly unsuccessful, might I add) version of the PS2 called the PSX (not to be confused with the original PlayStation console of the same name).

How about they take the blue ray player out and save some cash, the fanboys will still buy it anyway.

Bro read the link i posted. Blue ray and HD-DVD is a format way. Like the cassett tape and CD's. U kno the N-64 type games and then Sony.

Basically if Blue ray becomes the best selling Hi Def video format then PS3's are the cheapest players and will sell like hot cakes.

The blu-ray drive cannot be taken out because all games come on blu-ray discs. The space is already being used and will be needed in the coming years.

Yes it can, and a PSP can connect to it either directly over wireless(AD-HOC) or through a wireless router that the PS3 is also connected to. I have the 20GB version of the PS3 so I have it wired to my wireless router and connect my PSP through it for remote play.

Hamas i was saying about the quote you poosted about the "playstation eye", i have not noticed the source from which you got this info from.

When posting info you should always cite where your getting it from, copy and paste a link for example, its like a way of avoiding plagiarism.

It seems that this is just an accessory...not an official upgrade like microsoft did with the 360 Elite in which i dont own as of yet.

And Supra, I have a PS3 with wireless 60G version. I also have a PSP but it does not have the latest update 3.1 software. I cannot connect wirelessly to my home network even though my PS3 can. It is WPA i enter the password and still it wont let me on.

Anyone happen to know the latest game that requires the latest software version so i can upgrade it directly through a game. I tried to do it through my PC and it wont let me because the .psp format is not recognizable. This has been happening since i bought my PSP in DEC and cant seem to connect it to my PS3 yet because i cannot retrieve the most recent PSP software update. If anyone can help it would be AWESOME. I tried downloading to update from my PC to transfer it to my PSP and still no success.

Sad thing is i do IT and cant solve this issue.

What an essay lol!

Yeah I know 'of' that trick! But its not very ethical!!!! I equate doing that to piracy, of which I have no respect for people that do that!

Lmao, I have noticed that we sit on opposite sides of a lot of things. Maybe if i made great money i would be able to relate. I like to enjoy my intelligence whether its scamming my way through "the system" or by boot-legging things. Politics are not my thing, but y boost the economy GNP and pay top dollar if you can do it your self?
