BSOD problems...
I recently started getting intermittant BSOD (0X00000050 Win32k.sys). started happening pretty much the same time I installed a new SATA HD. Don't know if that's the cause or not. Here is the error log :

Your first dump from 3/29 shows it is a 0x8E error in win32.sys Check out this link that might give clarification:
http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?p=144...902cb27096b1ba Your other two dumps report the same thing : Memory Corruption. Have you attempted a MemTest yet? Have you utilized Seagate's harddrive diagnostic's tool to see if there might be issues with your harddrive(s)? |

I ran MemTest and did recieve errors. So I did as suggested and ran each ram stick seperately to see which one caused the fault. Well, they both ran fine on their own. I tried them in different slots but still recieved errors in Memtest. So I figured it must be my motherboard. However, I decided to try a pair of OCZ Premiere series sticks (the ones I was having problems with were OCZ Gold series) I have in my other computer and to my surprise they reported no errors. Now I know I had the timing set properly on the Gold Series sticks so I'm at a loss as to why they weren't running properly.
Any clue? |

Did you run those Premiere's in the same slots as the Gold ones without receiving any errors?
How long did you run MemTest on each stick? |

yes, I ran the Premiere sticks in the same slot. I ran each Gold stick for over 20 min. 1000% coverage for each one.

The collective wisdom is that the minimum you should test RAM is 10 passes of tests 1-8 and that takes time. 20 minutes is not enough time.
I am wondering if your motherboard has defective slots. What motherboard do you have? |

ASUS p5p800
I'll run a longer test and let you know the result. |
