USB Drive flashes when installed will not format

I have a 2gb flash drive that has been a pain since I bought it. It is a Power Up Speeddrive. I have reformated it once and it worked fine for awhile. It's newest trick is that when I plug it in to a computer (I have tried a number of them) the drive letter flashes and is not properly recognized. Since the computer does not regonize the drive, I cannot access it to reformat it or determine what is on the drive - if anything. Any suggestions for getting the drive to cooperate and allowing the computer to recognize the drive?

Have you tried using disk manager?

Right click on my computer and choose manage. Toward the bottom you will see disk management. Take a look in there.

no luck

No luck. I can get the disk manager to come up but it will not recognize the drive. When I go into my computer the drive will flash on and off but it will not allow me to format. Any other ideas?

Have you tried putting it into a different computer?
